Lectures on "Sustainability, environment and global challenges" - School of Excellence, University of Bologna

This web page delivers to students information and tutorials for the lectures on "Sustainability, environment and global challenges" for students of the School of Excellence - University of Bologna (1* block of lectures, 6 hours). Lectures will be given in Italian while the tutorials are in English, in order to facilitate widespread diffusion. In these lectures I am providing a personal review of the concepts of sustainability and sustainable development, and I am highlighting the role of climate change for societal evolution and well being. I am adopting an innovative approach that underlines the fundamental role of multi- inter- and trans-disciplinarity as well as engineering for devising ways forward to sustainable development. • Monday, January 7, 2019, from 20.30 to 22.30;
• Monday, January 14, 2019, from 18.00 to 20.00;
• Monday, January 28, 2019, from 18.00 to 20.00;

The teacher will be available for providing personal and collective guidance by appointment. The teacher receives students at the School of Engineering, in Via del Risorgimento 2, Bologna.
