A Panta Rhei session at ICGRHWE14

A Panta Rhei session on "Panta Rhei Symposium on Modeling hydrological processes and changes" will be organized during the The 3rd Remote Sensing and Hydrology Symposium(RSHY14) & 3rd International Conference of GIS and Remote Sensing in Hydrology, Water Resources and Environment(ICGRHWE14) to be held in Guangzhou, China, August 24-27, 2014. The call for presentation is available here. The deadline for online abstract submission is April 30, 2014, but later submission till May 31 will also be considered.
The session is convened by Dr. Prof. Yangbo Chen (Secretary, International Commission of Remote Sensing (ICRS) of IAHS).

A presentation of Panta Rhei

Prof. Hubert Savenije, President of IAHS, is presenting Panta Rhei at several international meetings in the near future. To this end, he put together a presentation of Panta Rhei to summarise its status in Spring 2014. The presentation is available for download here.

Panta Rhei sessions at EGU - 27 April/May 2nd, 2014

The next General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union, to be held in Vienna during April 27 - May 2nd, 2014, will host sessions that are organised by the Panta Rhei community and will focus on hydrology and change.

The first list of the Panta Rhei Working Groups and Research Themes!

The first list of the Panta Rhei Working Groups (WG) and Research Themes that were approved by the Panta Rhei governance is published here (WG) and here (RT). The first call was a success! 22 WG and 10 RT were approved. The Working Groups include about 220 researchers!

First call for Research Themes and Working Groups: 25 proposals received !

On January 31st, 2014, the deadline for the first call for Research Themes (RT) and Working Groups (WG) of Panta Rhei expired. The first call was a success! Eighteen proposals have been received for Working Groups and seven proposals for Research Themes. The proposed Working Groups include 205 researchers! The large attention that the community dedicated to the first call is a clear demonstration of the popularity of Panta Rhei.

Proposals wil be now reviewed by the Target Leaders and the Chair of Panta Rhei, in agreement with the IAHS governance. The list of the approved themes and groups will be published in the near future. Research Themes may be added by Target Leaders at this stage. Later on, a second open call for Working Groups and Research Themes will be issued.
